Journals
Journals are a great way to document students' learning. The use of journals allows children to practice their writing. Furthermore, it's an opportunity for self-reflection and self-analysis throughout the school year. Each student should have their own journal about their own learning goals, obstacles, and objectives. They are also encouraged to write down any emotions they felt during a presentation or group/class discussion. If at any time they feel uncomfortable writing, they can express their thoughts by drawing. Journaling from September to June can indicate a child's academic and personal growth throughout the year.
